Features to know about

Keeps Debris and Water Out: Automatic Slide-Out Protection

This topper shields the top of your slide-out from leaves, twigs, and standing water so they don’t get pulled inside when you retract the room. The awning automatically extends and retracts with the slide, keeping the surface clear without any extra steps. It fits slide-outs that measure 134" to 139" wide with a 48" extension, giving full coverage and preventing water from pooling or causing mildew.

Holds Up in Rough Weather: Premium 13.5-oz Vinyl Fabric

The heavy-duty, 13.5-oz vinyl fabric is built to handle all kinds of weather. It’s cold-crack tested down to -25°F, so it won’t stiffen or split in freezing conditions. The heat-welded seams stop leaks that can come through stitched fabric, meaning you get long-term durability and protection. The black fabric also matches the black hardware for a clean finish.

Cools and Shades Your Space: Built-In Sun Protection

By covering the top of your slide, this topper adds a layer of shade that helps reduce heat inside your RV. It keeps sunlight from beating down directly on the slide roof, so the interior stays cooler and more comfortable, especially in sunny, hot spots.

Simple Two-Person Install: Complete Kit with Awning Rail

Everything you need for mounting is included—brackets, hardware, and the awning rail. The roller tube already comes with the fabric installed, so setup is straightforward. The awning rail can be positioned up to 5" above the trim, and you’ll need 7" of side clearance (or go one size down if space is tight). Once it’s mounted, the topper works automatically every time you move the slide.

Sized Right for Your Slide-Out: 139" Awning Rail Length

The awning rail is 139" long, and the fabric extends 48" to cover the full depth of your slide. If you have two slides next to each other, you’ll need a total of 14" clearance between them. The topper also includes 3/16" bolt holes and carries a 1-year warranty.

Specs

Application

  • Slide-out compatibility: Slide-outs 134" - 139" wide with 48" extension
  • Clearance requirement: Minimum 7" of clearance needed on both sides of the slide-out - order next size down if needed
  • Dual slide-out clearance: 2 Slide-outs next to each other need 14" total clearance between them

Dimensions

  • Awning rail length: 139" long
  • Awning fabric (when fully extended): 139" wide x 48" long

The awning had two holes that had to be repaired before unit could be installed.
Since it took so long to actually get the slide out awning shipped, I decided to repair awning verses sending it back and waiting another couple of months to get a replacement.

Hey Randy. That is definitely an experience we don't want you to have had. I'm going to get this taken care of for you.

Thanks to etrailer. Will was very knowledgeable and helpful. I ordered 2 awnings for my slideout on my fifthwheel. The service was great.
These slideout awnings were a great thing to add to my trailer. It will protect from rain and sun. Thanks to etrailer and william, very good service and good quality products.
by:
Delivered promptly. I will have to wait for better weather to install though.

I originally bought 3 of these toppers after doing my due diligence on the BEST brand to go with , quality matters to me . Once installed 1 didn’t perform correctly when it rained I contacted Etrailer who’ve I also did research on mostly focused on shipping times and mainly customer service AFTER the sale , their customer service/support is over the top , it was like dealing with Sears forty years ago! . I’m glad I had the great experience working with them and will never purchase another product fo my fifth wheel anywhere else . I am not a review writer by nature so for me to write one good or bad means they really are the only company in my opinion that you need to consider if you are shopping for a , in my case a fifth wheel a accessory, pricing was competitive but where it really matters to me was customer satisfaction is a 100% for me . Thanks
by:
Great product and works fine. Lippert needs to quality check before shipping> My first awning was rolloed up backwards causing the need for a full replacement.
Shipping of second awning was delayed a week and then I did not receive a call from shipper as promised. Kimberly O was excellent and she should be commended for her customer service. Thanks Rick Swift

Screws to hold the topper roll to the trailer are small for the size of this topper.
by:
I WAS ABLE TO CALL AND SPEAK WITH A CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON ABOUT THIS PRODUCT BEFORE I BOUGHT IT. PRODUCT WAS JUST WHAT I ORDERED AND WAS DELIVERD ON TIME.I WILL BE BUYING FROM ETRAILER AGAIN.
by:
These slide toppers were easy to install and work great. Thank you etrailer.
by:
The first slide out awning failed along the entire length at the heat sealed seam. E-Trailer sent out a brand new replacement. What I find is though it does keep debris off the slide out, in a heavy rain it sags in the middle and captures water. I was under the impression that water should run off the awning and prevent the pooling of water.???? I am now looking for a blow up pillow of sorts to put under the awning between the slide out and the awning so it can't sag and pool.

Hey Kitty. I'm sorry to hear about what's going on with your awning. Would you be able to email me some pictures of what's happening? I can help find a solution for you.

by:
3rd slide topper ive gotten and am very pleased with the product and ease of installation. Although the box it shipped in was damaged each time product inside was ok.
by:
we are full time rvers the toppers work great, no problems, the installations went like you would expect, a little bit of a pain but very doable.
by:
recivedorder on time I put both awning covers on myself took about one hour for each they look great very happy.
by:
The Lippert slide out toppers are nice. They are much better then the regular Lippert awnings which wont last in rain or stormy conditions without tearing apart. I purchased 3 Lippert slide out toppers from etrailer. This last one I had to wait about a month for due to it being out of stock, but I did get it with great tracking. Im installing it now. Once you do one you can do 100 of them since they all mount up the same way.Etrailer is great for customer service and they are great communicators which I really appreciate.
by:
When I received the package, which was a long heavy roll about 3 feet from one end the role was broken and a huge hole was in it. The rail was bent, which was easy to straighten, but I haven’t installed it yet so I don’t know if the awning itself was damaged but it doesn’t appear to be.

  • How To Choose The Correct Slide Out Awning When Dealing With Limited Clearance Space
There aren't smaller brackets for slide out awnings but you can go down a size to gain some additional clearance between your other awning and door. For example, the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning # LCV000177334 you were looking at fits a flange to flange measurement of 140" to 145". Even if your measurement falls within the 140" to 145" range you could still go a size lower to the # LCV000168328 and just center it over the box to have the arms/brackets sit closer in for additional clearance....

  • Slide-Out Awnings (Slide-Toppers) for 84, 90, and 156 Inch Wide Slide-Outs
The 84 inch slide-out will use a 90 inch awning slider length, 90 inches will use a 96 inch length, and 156 will use the 162 inch length. So for the 84 inch slide-out you can use # LCV000165062 for black or # LCV000163287 for white. For the 90 inch slides you can use # LCV000168106 for black or # LCV000163288 for white. And for the 156 inch slide you can use # LCV000168109 for black or # LCV000163300 for white.

  • Slide Topper For 2022 Grand Design Reflection 337RLS w/ Awning on Side & Slide Box
Thanks for that photo it was super helpful, and let's start with the easiest thing first, which is the 3 inches of clearance you have on the sides. Since slide toppers need 7 inches of clearance on the sides, what you will need to do is order the next size down instead of the 139" # LCV000168328. Your slide topper will still have plenty of coverage over your slide, but this will allow you the clearance from the awning rail; so what you need is the following: - Solera RV Slide-Out Awning...

  • Can I Get a Slide Out Topper If I Don't Have the Proper Clearance Past the Slide Out Flanges
With the lack of clearance your options are more limited but you can still get a slide topper for your slide out. You will just have to realize you may not have full coverage of the slide out. You can down size to a smaller slide out topper that allows you to have the clearance necessary. Just measure the size of your slide out from flange to flange and see how close that puts you to the 7" of clearance. Then you will just go down in slide out size until you have the 7" of clearance needed....

  • Recommended Slide Out Awning For A Slide Out With Limited Mounting Bracket Space
The newer brackets aren't currently sold separately but I've run into your situation a few times and have just placed the inner bracket on the t-molding instead of on the wall of the slide out. You'll want to get the lower holes in the bracket as close to the edge of the t-molding as possible so that the screws sit in the space between the slide out box and trailer wall. You'll also want to use some butyl tape on the backside of the inner brackets to prevent water from leaking in through...

  • Recommended Slide Out Topper Awning For A 142.5" Flange Measurement With Limited Clearance Space
Thank you for the pictures, it looks like you have about 2.5" to 3" of space from the edge of your flange to the awning arm. Because of the this, instead of the Black # LCV000177334 or White # LCV000163298 slide out toppers I recommended you'll want to go down in size to the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning Black # LCV000168328 or White # LCV000139496. • Where to Measure to Select the Right Size Slide-Out Topper/Awning
The only measurement I would need is the overall width of the slide-out including the flanges or trim around the perimeter of the slide-out. So if that measurement were 72 inches overall then you would use a 6-1/2 foot option such as # LCV000165063. It fits slide-outs that are 68 to 73-3/4 inches wide.
